ASPRSS - Enabling you to share your ASP resources
ASPRSS --> What is RSS?

What is RSS?

Over its lifetime RSS has stood for many different things - Rich Site Summary, Really Simple Syndication and RDF Site Summary among others. Nowadays it is generally considered a name rather than an acronym.

Simply put, an RSS file is a file on your web site that tells other web sites which of your pages are interesting.

In the ASPRSS world there are two kinds of web site:

• Publishers that have pages on their web site that they would like others link to, and
• Directories that store links to web sites, and allow their readers to search for topics of interest.

Yahoo is a famous example of a Directory, while CNN is a Publisher.

Publishers can implement the ASPRSS system by placing an RSS.xml or RSS.asp file on their web site. We supply ASP source code to help you create this file. We can then submit your resources to directory sites, or you can do it yourself.

To make it as easy as possible we supply you with all that you need, for free, but web development experience is a must. Read how to become an ASPRSS publisher.

Directories support the ASPRSS system by allowing publishers to submit resources to them in the RSS format. Again, we will supply example code for free, but they will need to be integrated into your site by an experienced web developer. Read how to accept RSS submissions.
